CEO/Founder
Steve Wendlandt is the founder of Selected Benefits, Inc. He established the company in 2002 with a mission to simplify health insurance for individuals, families, and businesses. As a seasoned entrepreneur, Steve has also founded Wendlandt Investments, LLC, New Century Realty Group, and Lillian Nicola Asset Management, LLC, reflecting his diverse expertise in insurance, real estate, and asset management. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his Wife, Lynne, playing golf and downhill mountain biking.
Phil Raskin
Group Health Specialist / Managing Member of iSure LLC *
With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Phil has dedicated his career to helping business owners and individuals secure the best coverage solutions. As the co-owner of iSure, LLC for 15 years, he has helped over 1,000 business owners and countless individuals navigate the complexities of insurance, securing benefits to protect their assets and plan for the future with confidence. When he’s not working with clients, Phil enjoys spending time at his ranch outside of Fredericksburg with his wife, Roslyn. An avid outdoorsman, he finds relaxation in hunting and unwinding to the sound of good music while tending to his garden.
Melanie Ladner
Group Health Specialist / Operations Manager
With over 15 years of experience in the health insurance industry, Melanie brings deep expertise and a genuine commitment to helping both businesses and individuals find benefits solutions that really work. She takes pride in building relationships and working closely with each client to create customized strategies that meet their goals and support the well-being of their teams.
As a dedicated professional, wife, and proud mother of three, Melanie understands just how important it is to have coverage you can count on—both at work and at home. Her own experiences have shaped her commitment to making health insurance easier to understand and more personal for the people and businesses she serves.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys photography, traveling, cooking for family and friends, and spending time with her husband and three children—cherishing moments with loved ones and appreciating the little things in life.
